    culturally appropriate Christmas food to 40 Latinx families in Arcata

  • HAF Health Foundation Grant – Awarded Como Comemos Grant –
    Promoting a return to healthy and traditional Latinx food

  • Save the Redwoods League Grant – Family adventures in the Redwoods,
    including a campout at Benbow State Park, and visits to Sequoia Park Zoo,
    Cal Poly Humboldt, and College of the Redwoods/Humboldt Botanical
    Gardens

  • Tom & Stephanie Perrett Community Fund Grant – Individual swim
    lessons for 3 Latinx children at Healthsport in Arcata

  • Humboldt Sponsors Grant – Scholarships for 8 Latinx children to attend
    Sequoia Zoo Camp for one week

  • Humboldt Area Foundation (HAF) Summer Youth Program
    Partnership Grant and North Coast Co-op Cooperative Community
    Fund
    – Sponsored 7 Latinx children to attend the City of Arcata’s Science
    Summer Camp for four weeks

  • Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom Grant and
    Humboldt Area Foundation Grant
    – Ballet Folklorico outfits

  • Supporting Science Fund Grant (HAF Bailey Foundation) – Provided
    food and transportation funds for field trips to the Redwood Discovery Museum,
    Humboldt Bay Wildlife Refuge, Madaket Bay Tour, Humboldt Waterkeeper
    Kayaking Tours, and Morris Graves Museum of Art

  • Reach Your Star Awards – Distributed 15 scholarships to Latinx students
    continuing their education beyond high school

  • Madaket Bay Tour – Collaborated with Humboldt Waterkeeper for a
    Bilingual Bay Tour for 42 Latinx individuals

  • Ballet Folklorico Infantil de Arcata – Weekly classes at Arcata Playhouse
    (12 students) and performances at Fiesta Folklorica (Cal Poly Humboldt) and 
    Dia de Los Muertos (Fuente Nueva Charter School, La Ciendita, Centro del
    Pueblo)

  • Humboldt Math Festival – Presented da Vinci’s Bridge to Humboldt
    County children
